Newly formed Hotel Board appointed. Cross‑brand collaboration to be strengthened.
A strategical realignment is underway at the DERTOUR Group Hotel Division. The objective is to enhance quality on all levels: further improving the guest experience, advancing products and sharpening the hotel brands and concepts, as well as optimizing processes and services for partners and employees. All of these elements are essential prerequisites for the sustainable growth of the Hotel Division, which already comprises more than 120 hotels and club resorts.
New Hotel Board appointed
The newly formed Hotel Board will immediately take over all central management functions of the Hotel Division across all locations and brands. The only exception is the DSR Hotel Holding, in which the DERTOUR Group holds a majority stake; it will continue to operate independently from its Hamburg headquarters.
The Board consists of Ingo Burmester, who also serves as Chair of the committee, Sebastian Spratte, responsible for Finance, Christian Grage, overseeing hotel operations, and Frank Seedorff, who leads commercial functions, bringing together sales and marketing.
“The Hotel Division is a key success factor for DERTOUR Group. The hotel stay plays a decisive role in shaping the quality of the travel experience and the satisfaction of our guests. Our goal is to build a powerful hotel division focused on guests and partners while bundling our expertise across brands,” says Ingo Burmester. “We will also expand our investments in new hospitality technology to align closely with guest needs, better support employees, and further optimize processes.”
Strengthening collaboration across locations and brands
From August 2026 onward, the DERTOUR Hotel Division plans to operate under a new structure, with key competencies centrally managed across all brands and locations. The Operations division will take on responsibilities for supporting hotel operations across all brands, including Sentido, Aldiana, Playitas, ananea and Calimera. Its focus will be on operational excellence to ensure the highest quality and service standards across all brands.
This year alone, at least nine additional hotel openings (including those of DSR Hotel Holding) are planned, mainly in popular Mediterranean destinations, highlighting the growth ambitions of the hotel segment.
The Commercial division will centrally oversee functions such as brand marketing, revenue management, e-commerce and sales. “It is important to us to provide each brand with the best possible conditions for growth. We aim to further strengthen and sharpen our hotel brands,” explains Ingo Burmester.
Aldiana to become part of the Hotel Division
As part of the strategic realignment, it is planned that Aldiana GmbH and DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts will become one organisation, while maintaining their existing locations in Frankfurt and Cologne. Aldiana Managing Director Andreas Pospiech is member of the Extended Board of the Hotel Division.
The DERTOUR Group had already acquired 100 per cent of the Aldiana club hotel brand in May 2022. “We now want to take the next step in the integration and bring the hotel division even closer together from an organisational and procedural perspective,” says Ingo Burmester. “We continue to see Aldiana as a key driver of our success and will further develop its unique club resort experience in line with the needs of our guests.”
In this context, the majority of Aldiana’s tour operator activities will be transferred to DERTOUR Deutschland as of August 2026. The Aldiana tour operator brand will continue to exist and remain available in the booking systems. Detailed information for our sales partners will be provided in due time through the usual channels. “Close and trusted collaboration with our Aldiana sales partners is a top priority for me personally, and we will ensure a seamless transition and continued close support,” says Frank Seedorff.
All planning outlined above is currently subject to consultation with the relevant workers councils in Germany, which is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.
